Go to the island: many airlines with the first airport on the island Princess Juliana Philipsburg on the Dutch side and the possibility of a second airport nearby in Gran Case on the French side; the whole island turns around 3 hours of driving. (easy car rental at around 300 euros for the week).
On the French side, there are many beaches and some also isolated and uncrowded, the demand of holidaymakers for ten months a year, beach villas and many residences with services in certain areas; restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The French part of agreement with the French State falls under the Collectivity of Saint-Martin therefore there are tax concessions linked to taxes.
On the Dutch side, notable influence on the United States, subsidized taxation and duty-free shops, Hotel with breakfast and meals, considerable rental options for various annual and seasonal solutions. Excellent rental income having the American Caribbean School of Medicine is an international medical school, excellent curriculum in the United States (with a science campus in Sint Maarten) and based in Pembroke Pins, Florida.
Throughout the island, there are excellent real estate offers for apartments and villas with the possibility of seasonal rental (around 30/40 weeks per year with an average of 900-1,200 euros per week for two-room apartments). Seasonal tenants are of various nationalities: France, Italy, Germany, Holland, United States, Russia etc ………
Some housing solutions also on other islands: St. Barthélemy, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint-Kitt and Nevis.
